This past August I had the pleasure to be invited to Elite Comics’ Summer Jam 2. A little background, Elite Comics is the local comic book shop here in the Heartland. And every year they do a toy drive supporting patients at Children’s Mercy Hospital Kansas City.
With Summer Jam, Elite Comics raises money for their annual toy drive. Part of that event is inviting local creators to setup and market their comics and art to the community.
Definitely touched and honored to be invited to participate. The local shop, supporting local creators, raising money for kids in the hospital… community is a beautiful thing.
